Driving through my apartment complex today on our way out to lunch, I saw one of these parked outside one of the nearby apartments.

That's right: an actual Vector M12. Only 18 of these cars were made, and here was one sitting not a hundred yards from where I live.

Unfortunately, it was gone by the time we came back from lunch, otherwise I'd have gotten pictures. Beautiful machine, though. I wonder who it belongs to.

I have a habit of buying matchbox versions of cars I like...especially concept cars like the Honda Spocket which never make it into actual production. I figure a 99ยข replica is as close as I'm going to get to a real one.

I was quite smitten with this SUV a while back, the Vehicross. I don't know why, the style just seemed very unique and futuristic in the late 90's.

I actually saw one, one day in Huntsville, sitting in a parking lot. I stopped and fawned over it for a bit, for sure, and I've never seen one since...

Don't think I ever saw one of those, but hey, not bad looking.

cheers,
Phil

So THAT is what that car is. I saw that same car (well the same type, so given the scarcity you cite, probably the very same one) last week. I have to admit, I thought my carphase was over with but man that one made me drool just a bit. It looks like such a sweet car.

Unfortunately, it's really not. It's got a nice engine but the quality control on them was terrible and because they had parts stolen from Fords, Mazdas, Lamborghinis and many others (to try and keep costs down) they had all kinds of issues. They LOOK nice, though. Look like a car you'd see in a futuristic sci-fi film.

Still, I can't say I'd complain if I were to be given one. Heh.

cheers,
Phil

Well, not a sweet car to drive but you wouldn't want to drive cars like that around atl anyway, with our weather it'd nail the exterior in no time flat. But gorgeous to look at and imagine well, erm... nevermind :-)

Oh dear God, WANT. My dad had stock in Vector back in the day, and so we'd get all the glossy brochures. If I had won that crazy Megamillions jackpot, I'd have bought that car.

Carbon fiber body. Mmm.
