Morning annoyances

I get annoyed when I hear people quoting movies and getting the quotes WRONG. I love to quote films, too, but if I don't know the line word-for-word or within two words (and, preferably, in the same inflection, timing, timbre and speech rhythms of the actor who said it) then I'll just run the dialogue in my head instead of quoting it out loud. Two of my coworkers are having a Holy Grail quote-a-thon and they're getting most of it wrong. I want to shake them both and scream "GET IT RIGHT!"

While I'm on the subject, why the hell is my mind so useless for remembering IMPORTANT stuff like friends' birthdays and anniversaries, appointments I've made, errands I run and so forth -- and packed so full of inconsequential stuff like movie and book quotes, science fiction and comics minutiae, and the like? I hate my brain sometimes.
