Argh, I am old

Just got back from seeing DragonForce and Lacuna Coil (with a third band in tow, about whom I know nothing and care to know nothing either, because they spent half their songs setting up a nice theme musically and then destroying it with cookie-monster growls).

I am feeling horribly ancient for a number of reasons:

1. I am wholly exhausted (I am VERY active at rock shows) and I just know I'm going to wake up tomorrow morning with a screaming head and a neck that won't turn more than two degrees in either direction without blinding pain. I'm getting too old for headbanging. Argh!

2. 80% of the audience was male or female teenagers. Most of them weren't even old enough to drink and some were even younger than that. I was looking around and thinking, "Am I the oldest person in here???" Argh, part 2!

3. Hypothesis confirmed -- when the show was over and I went outside to head for my car, I saw a whole host of cars parked curbside by the venue. Peering inside, I saw a host of mommies and daddies who were there to pick up their kids after the show.

AAAARGGHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm ANCIENT!!!

DragonForce puts on a hell of a show, by the way.
