Ah, new acquisitions. ("You are a protocol droid, are you not?")

I have spent rather more than I should have lately, but Best Buy has a nasty tendency to waylay me when I'm just wandering by. Usually it happens something like this.

BB: Psst.
Me: Huh?
BB: Hey kid. C'mere.
Me: Oh, no. I know better than to talk to you again. My wallet's still hurting from the LAST time.
BB: Aw, c'mon, don't be like that. Tellya what....I got a coupla movies on sale I could let you have for.......oh, say five bucks apiece.
Me: Not a chance in....did you say five bucks?
BB: Yeah. C'mon, what'll it hurt to just take a look?
Me: Welllllllllll........
BB: Geez, you can always return 'em if you change your mind later.
Me: Okay, you're right. I guess it won't hurt to look.

And then of course I wind up buying not only the two or three movies I saw on sale for $5, but also the new collector's edition of that, and oh, look, the new 4-disc version of that, and wow, I didn't know this was new, and hey! look at that over there, and before you know it I'm loaded down with new purchases.

It's both a great time and a horrible time to be a DVD/home theater fanatic. So easy to lose control with all the great stuff out there.

So yeah. New movies. Do I live an exciting life, or what?

Oh, shut up. It was a rhetorical question.
