We have satellite TV here at Scorpio HQ, which stays on CNN during the daytime shifts...but when we're here at night we watch whatever strikes our fancy, whatever's going to pass the time.

Because I'm a newbie, I don't get to run the controller very often, so I've been subjected to some brain-numbingly inane late-night TV. "Cheaters", "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls", "Problem Child 2", etc. etc. etc.

There are occasionally some interesting segments on, though. One of my fellow late-night workers has a serious jones for "Desperate Housewives", which although soap-operaish does seem relatively cool. Now we're watching "Boston Legal", which stars William Shatner, a point in its disfavor. However, it's also got the remarkably chameleonic James Spader, which is nice, and the volcanically-hot Rhona Mitra. Rrrrrrrrrrrrowr.

(What is it about English accents on women that just makes me go all wibbly in the head? I can't figure it.)

Sunday nights are apparently legal territory. I think I remember seeing some episodes of one of the CSI spinoffs on Sunday night also.

Since I haven't got cable at home (and in fact haven't even hooked up the antenna to my TV), I'm hugely out of touch, though. What good shows are on TV these days? Enlighten me.
