Medical emergency over.
May. 11th, 2004 12:23 pmThanks very much to all of you who provided kind thoughts, prayers, or just had nice things to say about my beloved grandmother and her medical situation. My parents have spoken with the doctor on her case and he says she is likely to be released from the hospital (Charter Peachford here in Atlanta) tomorrow, assuming that she does as well today as she has over the past few days. I visited her on Friday and she was markedly improved, almost back to her old self again.
There is no definitive cause that the doctors can find for what she experienced, although there is a small possibility that she had a mini-stroke of some kind (she has had blood pressure issues for several years, though the medications she's on mostly control that). My parents and my grandfather will be keeping a very close eye on her for the next several weeks, in any case.
So.....the grandmother I know and love has apparently come back to us from wherever she went. I can't say how grateful and relieved I am about that.

Currently playing: Ice Age -- Liberation. The followup from this band isn't quite as good as their debut release The Great Divide, but MAN, Josh Pincus can sing.
