I am making a spontaneous resolution to post at least once a day, at least for the foreseeable future. I've been here for seven years but have stopped using it as much. This must be remedied.

I spent a couple hours yesterday watching the inauguration. No, I don't think Barack Obama is the Messiah, but I do trust and respect him and seeing his speech reminds me of one of the many reasons why I voted for him: because I want to hope again. I'm tired of being ashamed of the way my country is viewed by the rest of the world. I want us to be a great nation once more, instead of merely a good nation.

As a number of other people eloquently noted, it's time to get to work and fix the problems we've spent the past eight years and more creating.

Anyhow, I'm going to be doing some file sharing with many of these posts, showcasing some of the cool stuff I've picked up here and there over my many years of surfing the Intarwebnets. Today's offering is a 10-minute video entitled "Stockholm Getaway". Several years ago, a couple of guys in Stockholm, Sweden, mounted a couple of video cameras on a Porsche 911 and then, one late night, deliberately attracted the attention of the police specifically so they could get away from them. The video shows the 911 weaving through deserted Stockholm city streets and then rocketing along the highways before they finally turn into their home. One hopes they had taken the license plate off before the chase.

The file's about 100 MB. Download it from my site here; just right-click the link and use Save As. Should play fine with most video players.
